Reflecting at Caesarea Philippi
I am first and foremost a child of God who is struggling peacefully as a follower of Christ. I am also a husband, a father, a brother and a son. For the past 30 years, I’ve been working in United Methodist Churches – 25 of those as a pastor. I am currently the Senior Pastor of Chapelwood United Methodist Church in Houston, Texas. I count it a blessing everyday to be associated with a church like Chapelwood that seeks to embody God’s grace every day.
John:
I particularly resonated with your latest post on coming out of the fog of the pandemic because that’s what I tried to deal with in my new book, “Finding Your Bearings: How Words that Guided Jesus Through Crisis Can Guide Us.” (https://www.amazon.com/Finding-Your-Bearings-Guided-through/dp/1725295881/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=finding+your+bearings+harnish&qid=1634429904&sr=8-1#customerReviews).
If you’re interested and/or have time to take a look at it, I’ll be happy to send you a copy in the hope that it might be a helpful resource for your congregation.
May God continue to guide and bless your ministry in this challenging time!
Peace,
Jim Harnish
